Reports
President's Report (Connor)
- Hi y'all! I am your current President, and formerly your Vice President of Unigames
- My main goal as VP was to run more collaborative events with other clubs, including clubs we haven't really collaborated with before. I think this is a venture I'd like to be continually pursued, since throwing our names around every club through events I can only see growing the experience of our members
- Otherwise, as Vice President:
- I was on 4 subcommittees, for Charity Vigil ($2030 donated to Living Proud), Joint Camp (65 attendees), and 2 for the joint Minecraft server with some other Cam Hall clubs (first server had 90 or something unique players, second I am unsure)
- I drove for a lot of food runs
- I attended all but the most recent SOCPAC
- Manned our stall for the majority of Pride Fest
- And MOST IMPORTANTLY, I was on the winning table at Cam Hall Quiz Night
THEN, as President, I have:
- Chaired the last few meetings
- Done a lot of backend management of the club
- Met a bunch of y'all at O-Day and Fresher Welcome, and have been called Mr President, scaring me every time
- And have continued to set up for the incoming year!
As for our previous president, for the majority of 2024 committee, he
- Ran numerous events, namely including PROSH, all our prereleases up until the most recent one (and all other MTG events), and was a camp leader at Unigames camp
- He headed our long running collaboration with the Access Department
- He helped out at our first time attending Tokyo Alley (anime convention)
- He did majority of the work for Phoenix, our zine we revived for the first time in 30ish years
- He helped set up the Unigames bank account (big success?)
- Did a good bunch of records organisation on our site (with old minutes being ported)
- Helped out (with me) at the CELT campus clubs day
- Helped organise Blood Bowl 4 Life (RP4Life if it was foobaw)
- Helped update some of our club decks
- Was our marshal for Relay 4 Life
- Helped out with Nix a lot to do a lot of our Warhammer tournaments
- Attended some Guild meetings
- Got us our new clubroom chairs
- Setup for Pre-Con league
Next, since our elected secretary isn't here, this is what Chris did during his term:
- As our secretary, Chris minuted a majority of our meetings
- Sent out newsletters
- Helped organise Roleplay4Life
- Was involved in the first Minecraft server subcom
- Did some record organisation on our website
- Finally, I want to give a genuine, and heartfelt thank you to the committee right now
- Despite facing some serious hardship, we have all made it here, and I am so proud of all the work you all put in, into maintaining Unigames as the most welcoming and fun space for UWA students (and everyone else) on campus
- I think this quote here really sums it up: "When you have that respect from your teammates, it makes it a lot more comfortable." - LeBron James
- You all have the utmost respect from me, much love to all of you
Treasurer's Report (Jack)
- Bello everyone!! I'm Jack, your soon-to-be-former lord of the hoard :D
- Throughout this year I've organised:
- A singular boardgame event (Lovey-Dovey)
- 3 RPG events (Micro, Paranoia and Mystery)
- As well as doing the budgeting and questions and general subcommitteeing for Joint Quiz Night
- I also helped out on Joint Camp Subcom a little bit
- Now, for a quick overview of the hoard:
- Due to a precise and accidental targeted strike by Guild, the finance software is currently down and unavailable, meaning I've had to resort to pen and paper to figure out how much money we have
- If my calculations are correct, we have:
- $11,415.24 as our current total combined balance
- $6,493.55 Estimated Guild Balance
- $4,921.69 Commbank Balance
- $14,925.51 as our previous AGM balance
- Resulting in a loss of $3,510.27
- $11,415.24 as our current total combined balance
- This loss is likely due to a few reasons:
- I missed the deadline for Sem 1 Grant by two minutes, incurring a 30% penalty amounting to a missed amount of $290.40 - I humbly apologise for my failure to meet this deadline, it is truly my fault and no-one elses.
- We have been spending a bit more than usual simply because we have a larger balance, using our hefty reserves to spruce up the clubroom a bit (new microwave, chairs, magnetised minis, etc.)
- Even given this, the amount is especially large - I'll look into it post-agm as I haven't particularly had time in the past week to investigate (I suspect it might just be petty cash and a little overspending on food runs)
- Financial Statement is currently incomplete:
- Mostly issues with putting in transactions - events, grants and total balance numbers are mostly done :)
Secretary's Report (Chris)
- None submitted
Librarian's Report (Gen)
- Heya! It’s Gen! For the past year I have been your Unigames librarian, meaning it’s been my job to look after and maintain our beautiful library
- I’ve had a few projects here and there in my term, but my biggest focus, especially in the latter part of the year, has been towards our minis
- I have researched, acquired and built new mini storage for our shelves, helped build a few of the minis we’ve acquired and been working to magnetise those minis for safer storage
- In terms of more general maintenance, I have done some board game repair and sleeving, written contents sheets and organised our acquisition of more paints
- Over our two book buys this year I made some gorgeous PowerPoints and researched so many games, and almost all of the games we bought are in the library!
- Outside of specifically library stuff, I did student leadership training, went on a couple food runs and so many tactics runs, ran or helped run 17ish events and was on a subcom!
- This year has had it’s ups and downs and while I didn’t achieve everything I may have set out to do, I’m pretty proud of what I got done. In my time on this committee, I really felt like I have grown so much as a person and a leader and I am so very grateful for that. Love you Unigames.
Fresher Rep's Report (Cooper)
- Hey hey guys! It's been a fun year
- Frep Duties:
- Set up fresher campaigns for both sem 1 and sem 2 and kept in contact with Freshers and GMs for when help was needed
- Helped run Re-fresher Re-welcome and yesterday's Fresher Welcome, which were both a blast
- Worked with the other lovely freps of UniSFA, UWASCA and UCC for our Joint Quiz Night, putting together a couple fresher tables!
- Unigames Boardgames and RPGs Events:
- Social Deduction Boardgames
- Chill Boardgames
- Summer Boardgames
- Mork Borg RPG
- Call of Cthulhu RPG
- Bigger Events:
- Attended PROSH
- Helped out at Kittens and Krakens Camp in multiple roles, including working on the quiz for quiz night
- Helped out at Joint Camp
- It's been a blast, thank you guys!
OCM's Reports (Jeremy, Nene, Nix, and Oscar)
Jeremy // initiative: 2 out of d20
- First (and hopefully not last) stint on committee has been such a big learning experience :)
- I ran what felt like ten gorillian weekly events (6 boardgame events, 2 of which were collabs with new clubs and 3 RPG events, including the terrifying D&D night and another collab), excluding the events I was GM
- One of my main goals for this year was to introduce back in Pokemon TCG and expand wargaming, while wargaming was almost fully covered by the efforts of Nix, I helped run the intro to Pokemon TCG and started the TCG Extravaganza to introduce not only Pokemon but other TCGs, which will be run once again on TCG O'Day coming up! Oh, I also fumbled my way through a prerelease at the end of the year which was super fun and I am quite happy that I am now able to do this with confidence (also reviving my love of MTG :))
- I was also PROSH Marshal for Unigames, UniSFA and UWAnime at the start of the year, helped run our Tokyo Alley stall, was the library mule for camp, personal shopper for Joint Camp (withstanding the volcanic sauce) and was on the recent Uncharity subcommittee for the first time
- Drove and helped on a few food runs, supplying vzonk for my children
- All in all I’m quite happy about what we achieved this year, I’ve met so many people this year that I’m so glad I have met and I’m looking forward to the club’s future!
Nene // initiative: 19 out of d20
- Hi everyone! It's been an eventful year

Constitutional Amendments
- Constitutional amendment from Jackie Shan, seconded by Alistair Langton
- Original: 15.1.1) Any two Ordinary Financial Members of Unigames may not less than four days before the day appointed for the next General Meeting submit to the Secretary a notice of motion by them proposing an alteration to the Constitution.
- Amendment: 15.1.1) Any two Ordinary Financial Members of Unigames may not less than seven days before the day appointed for the next General Meeting submit to the Secretary a notice of motion by them proposing an alteration to the Constitution.
- Alistair explains what motions and amendments are and explains the history of this point in the constitution, that the rules around submission of these things changed recently, and they missed the one for constitutional amendments, there's no reason they shouldn't be the same
- They are proposing changing it so that the secretary has time to change the agenda before the meeting, and to match constitutional amendments
- Motion to enact Jackie's proposed constitutional amendment
- Passes unanimously
General Business
- Meeting 0 will be happening once this meeting closes! And after a short break
- Everest says thank you to Oldmittee, which we appreciate
- Nic has something to bring up in regards to the issue of secret ballots which arose the other day
- Please find more information on this in the thread in our Discord's feedback channel, the thread is named 'Discussion of Standing Orders'. Even more info is in the feedback channel from the date 27/02/2025, and this will likely be talked about at our next committee meeting (an unplanned date as of the publishing of these minutes)
- This issue has been resolved but in the future SOC will make the grey area we were in much more clear, this will take at least a month, and when it's done we are recommended to amend our constitution
Meeting closed: 5:01 pm
