Booster Box Buying Bhenanigans

• Tarkir box almost sold out
• Final Fantasy boxes will be able to be sold from tomorrow, but they will likely start being sold after the prerelease

Final Fantasy Prerelease - Sunday 8th of June @ 11am

• One kit (for right now, at 5:02pm) is available to be reserved
• All boxes and prizing are ready for the event
• Loft booking is being difficult (we can't book on weekends through LibCal and people aren't responding to emails), so we will let it lie

MTG Precon League

• Ash has been busy with exam prep so we will sort out feedback next week

MtG Club Decks

• Gibbi is still pondering the orb about a new club deck
• Ash is going to make info cards for the decks, giving details about the deck (like how to play it) and a QR code to link to the Archidekt, this will be done around the end of the month

Pokemon Deckbuilding Workshop

• Will be after the 15th of July, so a while away

Intro to Flesh and Blood

• This will be pushed back to semester 2, and once we get the new decks in from the Book Buy

Wargaming

Warhammer Tournament - Tuesday the 29th of June @ ~7am-6:30pm

• Lucy and Gen will be at the event to oversee it, Gen will have to leave early but Lucy will be there the whole time
• Room booking and other logistics still being worked out, but advertising will be out soon
• We have been looking to change how our Warhammer tournaments are run going forward so we are taking a more active role in the event, including the organisation beforehand and management on the day
  • This includes properly budgeting the events, helping with prizing, helping with player management, and putting less pressure on our TOs
• We have been working with Matt (who has TOed all of our previous tournaments) to find a new way to run them that is beneficial for both parties

Blood Bowl

Blood Bowl League

• It's round 9, second round of finals

Blood Bowl Tournament - Sunday the 13th of July @ 9am

• This will be an eleven's tournament, using the 3 clubroom mats we now have
• Everything sorted, EZONE booked and EMP approved
  • Gen got a good grade in the EMP they did
• Gen will be present for the event and so will one of our Blood Bowl commissioners (Cam)
• We will be requesting people bring their own mat as we only have three

Gen: Advertise the Blood Bowl tournament

Mini Painting Day - Tuesday the 10th of June @ 10am

• It's next week!
• This will be a casual event where people can bring their own models to paint together
• We will recommend people bring their own brushes as we don't have too many of our own, but our new paints can be put to the test!
• Gen alleges there will be cool tunes

OPR/Indie Skirmish

• Will likely be during semester 2
• Jack B is helping Jeremy with this action item now

• Third meeting happened
  • Subcom was formalised
  • New Eden was purchased
  • Test game is being organised
• New Eden was purchased by Alex (President of eSports)
  • He did this knowing the budget for the event has not been completed or approved yet, so we will be approving this purchase after it has already been made

Collab with UWASCA

• They're having their meeting tonight and will discuss our proposals

Population Health Postgraduate Society

• Probably a semester 2 event
• Games like:
  • Pandemic
  • Bristol
  • Dead of Winter
• They still have not emailed us back, Ella will try and contact them using other means

Ella: Find another way to contact PHPS

White Dwarf

• Gen went to White Dwarf and learned they used to run RPG events, but they stopped running them as no one wanted to stay back to run them
• They are happy for us to have posters and fliers in their store to advertise us and if people ask, they can recommend us
  • The only worry would be attracting too much of a non-university audience, which could be bigger than our capacity
  • Although this is a fun idea it's not something we're interested in right now, but we are always open to more collaborations and sponsorships
• They can help facilitate some Warhammer tournaments as well
  • This was discussed briefly on last year's committee
  • Nene looked back at old minutes, White Dwarf used to run monthly Warhammer tournaments but stopped due to resource scarcity

Charity Vigil

• We need to approve the cost split
• Motion to approve the 2025 Charity Vigil cost split
  • Passes unanimously

Swancon - Sunday the 1st of June

• Jeremy and Ash went!
  • Talked to a guy who makes puzzle cards
    • We looked at them, they're really cool, this is something we could use for larger events like quiz nights or vigils
      • But eSports used them for their quiz nights, so it would be nice for us to discuss this with eSports before we did that
    • Could do a partnership with this person? Maybe?
    • He also has boardgame versions of these cards
    • Might be something to keep in the mind for events in the future
  • Played an insanely good game called 'Step On It' about bugs in a horse race
    • They're sadly not sure if they'll ever see it again, the man who made it has no website or social media
    • We can only hope and pray to see it again
  • Went to an RPG panel, like a year in review for RPGs
    • The person who ran it works on Pendragon
• The unfortunate thing is Jeremy isn't sure how worth it it is for us to continue paying to go to Swancon
• According to Gen we used to supply boardgames to Swancon, so it was like a partnership, but we haven't done this in two years now (and it doesn't seem like they need it)
• We should probably reach out to them about our concerns
• It would be good for Swancon for us to keep a partnership with them, especially as the committee has spoken to some of us before about how they find it difficult to find people who want to continue running the con (which we have assisted them with)

Unigames Discord

• We got some feedback about how some channels in the Unigames discord server don't show up and so some people don't know they exist
• This is because you have to select roles during the server onboarding, and depending on what roles you pick, you get access to the channels
• This is an intentional choice because we have so many channels, and it's overwhelming to be put into all of them as soon as you join
• We're going to have a look at the onboarding process to help clarify that options you pick select different channels to view, and that you can change this later

• To combat people forgetting about Phoenix submissions being open there will be monthly events (which Nene is happy to run) that will function as brainstorming/getting work done sessions
  • Not one for this month because of camp, but there will be one from July onwards
• Nene also submitted the fixed 2024 Phoenix document to be printed last night
  • Not ready for print today, the price suggested was also way higher than what we were quoted in the past, so Nene will be fixing it

Committee Business

Banking

• Anna thinks we should get an ABN
• All the other Cam Hall clubs have an ABN
• Pros:
  • Will mean we don't have to remake the whole square account with every new treasurer
  • Will make Square stuff a lot easier in the long run
• (Slight) Cons:
  • We wouldn't have to submit a tax return, but would have to submit a form stating we are Not For Profit
  • Getting an ABN could mean we get audited (this is fine, we hate lying)
• This is something Anna would like to do in the long term, and hence won't be done immediately

Uploading Old Minutes

• Wowza! Nene started looking at this
• There's a lot of old minutes!
• Problems is some of them are ummm... cooked... Especially the really old ones
  • Cooked as in the formatting is wild, there's little to no information in them, there are lots of minutes that are missing
  • Nene can probably reach out to old secretaries to see if they have some of these minutes, but the oldest ones are from 2011, and that's 14 years ago! They don't blame anyone for not having those minutes anymore
• Other than that it'll just be a lot of work, might not get it all finished in this semester break
