Booster Box Buying Bhenanigans

• First box of Final Fantasy almost sold out

Final Fantasy Prerelease - Sunday 8th of June @ 11am

• It happened!
• Attendance: 20
• Running it entirely in the Loft made it very easy to monitor the games as they were all close by, and it left space for the campaigns happening in the clubroom
• Ran smoother than the previous one

MTG Precon League

• Ash has been busy with exam prep so we will sort out feedback next week
• Feedback:
  • Thoughts on price entry was all positive
  • Everyone prefers a weekday for the event scheduling, some feedback about it being later in the evening (definitely no mornings)
  • Could keep track of who is in which pod better to prevent people from playing the same people again and again or playing in 3 pods over and over
  • Some people weren't a fan of the voting system, that it's unfair because it's about favouritism over skill
  • Challenges enjoyed more over previous leagues
  • Having a session 0 for the league for people to talk about the challenges and ask questions is good
  • Some challenges could be made easier (although Ash disagrees with this)
  • People want challenges related more to their decks (like have over a thousand tokens for example), Ash believes this will incentivise un-fun gameplay
  • Lots of challenge suggestions were made, Ash took the ones they thought were productive and added them to make changes with later
  • In general:
    • The league could be more casual so people don't sweat too much and it's not just a competitive event
    • Certain types of cards could be banned (like taking extra turns)
    • There is interest in other formats like modern or commander adjacent formats
• Ash is already planning for the next Precon League, creating new challenges

MtG Club Decks

• Gibbi is still pondering the orb about a new club deck
• Ash is going to make info cards for the decks, giving details about the deck (like how to play it) and a QR code to link to the Archidekt, this will be done around the end of the month

Other TCGs

Pokemon Deckbuilding Workshop

• Will be after the 15th of July, so a while away

Intro to Flesh and Blood

• This will be pushed back to semester 2, and once we get the new decks in from the Book Buy

Wargaming

Warhammer Tournament - Tuesday the 29th of June @ ~7am-6:30pm

• Lucy and Gen will be at the event to oversee it, Gen will have to leave early but Lucy will be there the whole time
• Room booking and other logistics still being worked out, but advertising will be out soon
• We have come to an agreement with Matt over how much to pay him for TOing and we are figuring out ways to put any potential profits that we earn back into the events to make future ones cheaper or better

Blood Bowl League

• It's round 9, second round of finals still

Blood Bowl Tournament - Sunday the 13th of July @ 9am

• This will be an eleven's tournament, using the 3 clubroom mats we now have
• Gen will be present for the event and so will one of our Blood Bowl commissioners (Cam)
• We will be requesting people bring their own mat as we only have three
• Advertising will be out sometime next week

Mini Painting Day - Tuesday the 10th of June @ 10am

• It happened!

• It was so good (according to Gen)

• Will likely be during semester 2
• Jack B is helping Jeremy with this action item now

Megagame with eSports

• Reps: Jack B and Jack D
• They have decided to sideline the subcom meetings for now because the people who will be running the games are trying to figure out the rules
  • Meetings will return once they know how to run the game

RPG Collab with UWASCA

• They wouldn't be open to lending us their garb for an RPG event and aren't sure how else they could be very involved, so they're not keen running this with us
  • They said we can run it on our own

Population Health Postgraduate Society

• Probably a semester 2 event
• Games like:

  • Bristol
  • Dead of Winter
• They still have not emailed us back, Ella will try and contact them using other means

White Dwarf

• Gen went to White Dwarf and learned they used to run RPG events, but they stopped running them as no one wanted to stay back to run them
• They are happy for us to have posters and fliers in their store to advertise us and if people ask, they can recommend us
  • The only worry would be attracting too much of a non-university audience, which could be bigger than our capacity
  • Although this is a fun idea it's not something we're interested in right now, but we are always open to more collaborations and sponsorships

• As per Jeremy:
  • Discord server onboarding looks like either you just have every channel given to you but there's no way to list the channels and give them an add unless we make every channel role based which.. sounds awful
  • Might be better off to just either have people have "everything" by default OR put a little line in the welcome message saying to look at the channel directory
• We should give everyone access to all the channels and tell them in a welcome message that they can remove some if they're not interested

New Club Paints

• The new paints are currently in the Monolith, if you would like to use them please contact a Gatekeeper and they can get them out for you

• Anna has sent them the money, the shirts might be ready by camp (but this is a heavy might)

Eunigames Playmats

• Gen spoke to Jackie
• Jackie had ideas for a playmat with the lemon dragon in a cocktail glass with some fruits
  • Playful and fun
• She will treat this as a commission, 35 dollars an hour, approximated to be about 5 hours of work ($175)
  • We suggest we give her 250 instead of 175 as a lump sum instead of a commission rate, and paying more if it takes her longer
    • If it's an hourly rate still, that's bumped up from 35 dollars to 50 dollars
• She can start doing sketches and stuff this week

Phoenix Revival

• Does Nene have the copies of Phoenix? THEY DO
• Problem they ran into: when they went in to pick them up last week the amount they cost went up DRASTICALLY because the amount we were quoted was for lower quality paper (which was not an option to pick when requesting the order)
  • Previously the quote was 5 for 10 dollars (2 dollars each), new quote was around 35 dollars for 5 (7 dollars each)
• Nene ended up buying 2 that came out to around ~$4.50 each
• We will print out some of the games in Phoenix so that people can play them without writing in the booklets
• There are two blank pages at the back of the Phoenix zines that will be glued together, and will be prevented in the future by having an amount of pages divisible by 4 (like 40)
• They will be left out on the tables for now so people can look at them, and put away later

Committee Business

Banking

• Anna thinks we should get an ABN
• All the other Cam Hall clubs have an ABN
• Pros:
  • Will mean we don't have to remake the whole square account with every new treasurer
  • Will make Square stuff a lot easier in the long run
• (Slight) Cons:
  • We wouldn't have to submit a tax return, but would have to submit a form stating we are Not For Profit
  • Getting an ABN could mean we get audited (this is fine, we hate lying)
• This is something Anna would like to do in the long term, and hence won't be done immediately

Archiving

• Okay so Nene got distracted
• They downloaded all the files that were in the Unigames archives and uploaded them to the committee google drive to sort them, as we already have places for a bunch of things on the archives (old logo designs, fresher guides, etc)
• But there's a lot of files so now they are going through them and deleting the ones that don't need to be on the drive (NOT deleting them off the archives)
• As far as minutes go, they've found lots on the old archives but there are even more on the Facebook that they're sorting through and will have uploaded once they have them all
  • Then after uploading them it'll be fixing the ones that are already uploaded....

Housekeeping

• Gen looked at the first aid kit, apparently the Guild looks at our first aid kit and updates it to regulations every 6 months
  • They last checked it in December, how nice of them
• We discuss having a ventalin puffer in our first aid kit
  • We are not legally allowed to buy one for the purpose of having it in a first aid kit, but we could happen upon one
  • The issue then becomes that you can't really have multiple people using it safely as you have to breathe into it, and we can't guarantee people don't have a million airborne diseases
  • We can bring one for camp and make sure our first aid people administer it and inform people if it has been used already
