• Will function as sister events, where we do a one-shot night that will be sci-fi and fantasy themed, and UniSFA has a trope talk
  • The trope talk will be about RPGs as a form of storytelling
• The one-shots will be happening on Thursday the 24th and the trope talk will be midday on Friday the 25th

• Ash has emailed Good Games about getting prerelease kits, we will be getting 30 kits, $50 for a kit and prizing

• Ash spoke to Tabletop ECU, they'd be hype for Precon except for how far they'd have to travel to Crawley

Updating the Club Pokemon Decks

• Currently the decks are playable, just out of standard (they fit the rotation before this one, went out of standard in April)
• Have been putting off updating them until there was more time for decks to get established and widely played
• Now that it's been a bit we can start looking at them, maybe once Jeremy gets back, but Nene will start investigating sooner

Intro to Flesh and Blood - Week 4, 11th-17th of August

• Whenisgood hasn't been very successful yet as timetables still aren't out, but Gen is thinking of trying for Wednesday the 13th in the afternoon

Wargaming

Warhammer Tournaments

• We are planning on moving our discussion of Warhammer tournaments into a channel in the Unigames discord server
• Following this, we are going to sort out another Warhammer tournament for early semester 2, and after that we will organise dates for the rest of the year (at least) in advance
• We continue our discussion on having Warhammer commissioners the same as we have Blood Bowl commissioners
  • Pros for having Warhammer commissioners (same as Blood Bowl):
    • They are covered under our Unigames regulations instead of being an outside force, would be good
    • If we're having someone take such a large part in running our events, we should have them bound to rules in line with the role
    • It gives the commissioners more power in regards to removal from events if people are being disruptive
    • The role just defines behaviours that the people we already sort of have in this role display
  • Cons for having Warhammer commissioners:
    • It may be taken badly and we may not have the consenting party we need, as dictated by our regulations
• We table this discussion again until we put out the feedback form for the last tournament and have another Warhammer tournament where we improve some things from last time (advertising, date in proximity to other events, ticket pricing)

• We will be discussing having another tournament with Matt soon so that advertising is out and ready for week 1

• It's somehow still the last round of finals, but the commissioners have told the participants it has to be finished by next week
• Connor contacted the commissioners about having a chat about the next league

Blood Bowl Tournament - Sunday the 13th of July @ 8:30am

• Gen will be present for the event and so will one of our Blood Bowl commissioners (Cam)

• Nix came to us and asked if we could provide medals for the tournament, not just for winners but also medals for sportsmanship, best painting, etc
  • Nene will bring in badges for Gen to decorate
• Gen will need to call about making sure the doors to the venue are open by 8am for them to set up, or Connor will call them if Gen doesn't manage to

• Apparently a tournament for Trench Crusade is hard, a campaign would be less hard, it's just difficult to scale it up
• The people organising it have made a group chat and done not much else

White Dwarf

• Gen went to White Dwarf and learned they used to run RPG events, but they stopped running them as no one wanted to stay back to run them
• They are happy for us to have posters and fliers in their store to advertise us and if people ask, they can recommend us
  • The only worry would be attracting too much of a non-university audience, which could be bigger than our capacity
  • Although this is a fun idea it's not something we're interested in right now, but we are always open to more collaborations and sponsorships

• Money has been sent, we have a whenisgood to fill out for when we get our photo op with a huge cheque

Lasers and Lances Camp

• Budget is being finalised
• The majority of us aren't very keen on Manjedal but we're also limited in how many places we can go, so we decide to cook on it a little more for next week
• Nene looked at some other places, but they're all too expensive or the layout has the dorms right next to the activity hall (which is untenable)
• We will look some more in the coming week

• Date has been decided on, it's as above

• There is a budget, it has been approved by the subcom, we also need to approve it
  • Motion to approve the 2025 Quiz Night budget
    • Fails
• We cannot approve the budget for a number of reasons including inconsistent pricing, the fact that we may not want to use our SPG on this, and the break-even is very high

Relay 4 Life - Week 10, Saturday-Sunday 4th-5th of October

OGM

• We need to make a whenisgood for a date and time we can all make it, but we have to wait until we have our timetables unfortunately
• We also need to look at ways to facilitate discussion about the future of how we vote at Unigames elections
  • There are a lot of methods to do this, suggestions:
    • Discord
      • We could create a forum tab same as our current events tab, we would have to disable threads, and we would probably add at least a 5 minute slowmode for sending messages
      • This would be most accessible to our member base
      • Committee members would have to be pretty consistently on discord to moderate the discussions, which could be difficult for a number of reasons
    • Facebook
      • Might be one of the better formats purely for readability but it's not widely used by committee members or the general member base and is therefore not very accessible
    • Mailing list
      • A suggestion from Lorenzo during the last OGM, something UCC could help us organise, but people would have to opt in and it might not be accessible to people wanting to view it casually
      • Some visceral reactions to the idea of people opening their phones to 80 emails about Unigames voting
      • Alistair also suggests this separately
    • In person
      • We could organise specific times for in person discussions for this but we would have to chair and manage these very rigorously, similar to how we would have to do it online, it's also difficult for people to not go in circles as these in person discussions may not be minuted or written down
    • Reddit
      • This is sort of a jokey suggestion but may also unironically be one of the better ones, purely for the way the forums work
• We decide to follow Connor's suggestion on using Discord:
  • We have a forum set up on discord (like our current events forum) for a certain amount of time before the OGM, then we summarise these forum posts and have them available for people to read before the OGM, and then we have the OGM, ensuring we do not unnecessarily re-discuss things that have already been discussed
  • We also acknowledge that despite doing this the OGM will probably still be quite long and discussion heavy

Fresher Campaigns

• Feedback form was sent out, 6 responses have been sent in now
  • A bunch of our GMs have gotten very good feedback
  • Allocation process was rated highly but comments acknowledged that it took quite a while
  • People felt that their GMs made Unigames feel welcoming
  • Wide range of responses on whether GMs educated their players on Unigames functions like short term and long term borrowing
• Fresher campaigns edition 2 are being started now and the fresher campaign GM form has been put out

O-Day 2 - Week 2, Tuesday the 29th of July @ 11-2

• Not like a regular O-Day, described as being more like a club carnival
• Gen has signed us up for it
• We will sort out who can be there once we have our timetables

• We will pay each of them the money once the minis have been painted, Lucy will be the point of contact for Jade
