• Ash is concerned that guides may not be used by general club members and that instead people would rather be taught by another member, so instead short guides will be written about individual decks in just a few sentences to get across the vibe and core play style of the deck

Pokemon Deckbuilding Workshop - Week 3 (4th-10th August)

• It's after the 15th now

• We will start planning for this event to be in week 3, during the event we will also start sorting out the club decks

Warhammer 40k Tournaments

• We are planning on moving our discussion of Warhammer tournaments into a channel in the Unigames discord server
• Following this, we are going to sort out another Warhammer tournament for early semester 2, and after that we will organise dates for the rest of the year (at least) in advance
• Feedback on the most recent Warhammer tournament:
  • Only one response
  • 4/5 generally on the event
  • 2/5 advertising, advertising should be earlier
  • Pricing was reallyyyyy good, maybe too good (could make more expensive)
  • Prior method of payment for future events is recommended
  • Feedback we've received personally has shared these sentiments
• We will be discussing having another tournament with Matt soon so that advertising is out and ready for week 1

Age of Sigmar Tournament - Week 4, Sunday the 17th of August

• Wargamers seem hyped for an AoS tournament
• Games Workshop contacted Matt about prizing for said tournament, potentially a $400 box
• 17th August, 31st August and 7th September are potential dates that Matt can do, it's most likely to be the 17th of August as the 7th is Father's day and the 31st is Roleplay for Life
• Likely a 1K tournament
• Prizes may work as raffle or door prize, where the more awards you win, the more tickets you get to enter raffle
• Tickets will most likely cost $45 to cover paying Matt for his time and TOing the tournament

White Dwarf

• Gen went to White Dwarf and learned they used to run RPG events, but they stopped running them as no one wanted to stay back to run them
• They are happy for us to have posters and fliers in their store to advertise us and if people ask, they can recommend us
  • The only worry would be attracting too much of a non-university audience, which could be bigger than our capacity
  • Although this is a fun idea it's not something we're interested in right now, but we are always open to more collaborations and sponsorships

Lasers and Lances Camp

• Budget just needs to be looked over by Connor (at Anna's request)
• In the future if Manjedal is booked, it will be stressed to attendees that it is COLD and to prepare (and read the packing list thoroughly), we will try facilitate bringing a heater next time, and also consider hiring a bus
• Gen affirms in Manjedal's favour that Manjedal has a better activity hall, and that because this is a games camp, that should be prioritised

• We also need to look at ways to facilitate discussion about the future of how we vote at Unigames elections
• We decide to follow Connor's suggestion on using Discord:
  • We have a forum set up on discord (like our current events forum) for a certain amount of time before the OGM, then we summarise these forum posts and have them available for people to read before the OGM, and then we have the OGM, ensuring we do not unnecessarily re-discuss things that have already been discussed
  • We also acknowledge that despite doing this the OGM will probably still be quite long and discussion heavy
• Whenisgood was made, so far the best looking day is Monday the 25th of August
  • If we start at 2, almost everyone who has filled out the form can attend

  • We have issues with a start time of 6pm, as we feel it will run too late
  • We suggest maybe doing it on a weekend, or starting it earlier
  • We understand that people being at uni already could be good, but people who are interested in this event will still very much want to make sure they can attend
  • There are also people who wouldn't come by because it's a weekend
  • We will let subcom rediscuss based on what we have discussed
• Budget not made yet, are looking into pattern
• Not planning on making a profit, planning on breaking even
  • It will be ticketed to pay UWASCA who already have the leather
• With venue, the subcom is considering either clubroom/loft or Ezone
  • Last one was in Ezone, and we still think it's a good idea due to accessibility, ability to move tables easier, aircon
  • Pro of Unigames is that Cam Hall people around will see it happening and think about joining in
  • Jeremy suggests the Reid purple room, which if both Unigames and UWASCA book it, we could have it for 4 hours
  • Nene mentions the craft room in the CCZ, dedicated for this kind of thing

Save the Chimps Charity Event

• The current suggestion is that we do a Bananagrams tournament that people pay to enter and the proceeds go to Save the Chimps
• Gen thinks we should do it as a collaboration with the Zoology club, they are currently in contact with the committee of the Zoology club

  • They are not centered (which does affect gameplay)
  • We also don't have enough, we need 6 more

• Jeremy will print and laminate the markers as a solution (at least for now...)

• The Blood Bowl board is peeling in a spot
• The spine for our book Rogue Trader is suffering
• We need more standard sized clear sleeves for boardgames
• Lucy finished the paintbrush care guide, it just needs to be printed

  • Glue has proven mildly ineffective, or at least too hard for Ella to use
  • Velcro tape will be used instead
• The mini boxes still need to be glued, we bought the wood glue for them previously
• Jeremy would like to sleeve the F&B Decks, and Ash will get deckboxes from GGs for at most $40, specifically some nice ones

• Pros:
  • Will mean we don't have to remake the whole square account with every new treasurer
  • We will get a bank card, yay!
  • Will make Square stuff a lot easier in the long run
• (Slight) Cons:
  • We wouldn't have to submit a tax return, but would have to submit a form stating we are Not For Profit
  • Getting an ABN could mean we get audited (this is fine, we hate lying)
• This is something Anna would like to do in the long term, and hence won't be done immediately
