Population Health Postgraduate Society - Week 4, 11th-17th of August

• Probably a semester 2 event
• Games like:

• They met with Anna and Ella
  • Interested in running this event in week 4 or 6
  • Could be run on the med campus
  • Also considered running another event later down the line
• We discuss them having an event at the med campus, they have said they would like to have their first event in Unigames, but after that they would like to borrow some of our games and play them in their clubroom on the med campus
  • Borrowing the boardgames is fine but might not be as much of a collaborative event
• We are waiting on a definitive date from them but they would like to run it in week 4

Social Deduction Boardgames - Week 6, 25th-31st of August

• 2 social 2 deduction
• Connor will organise this one
• Has been shifted to two weeks later to accommodate the PHPS collab

Collaborative Boardgame Event - Week 7, 8th-14th of September

• This will be a collab, we discuss it potentially being with the robotics club or rollerblading club
• The rollerblading club is interested in having another collab, they are going to start running afternoon skate sessions but don't know the day yet
• We did run a collab with the rollerblading club last year but the skate couldn't happen because of rainy weather, and considering it is the same time of year (about) it might be better to do a robotics club collab for week 6, and do a rollerblading collab later in the semester
• Jeremy will continue liasing with both clubs before deciding definitively
• This event has also been shifted back to accommodate the PHPS collab

• There's interest in having a Unigames cube

• Lots of interest in another draft specifically, could be cheaper if we have a cube

Edge of Eternities Prerelease - Week 1, Sunday the 27th of July @ 11am

• Ash has emailed Good Games about getting prerelease kits, we will be getting 30 kits, $50 for a kit and prizing
• Advertising was put out on Facebook and Instagram
• It's this weekend!
• Kits still need to be picked up, will be done tomorrow

MTG Precon League

• Potentially starting in week 3 or 4
• The poll for what day Precon League should be on was put out, has been posted on the Tabletop ECU server as well

MtG Club Decks

• Gibbi is mostly done making the lists for the decks
• Ash is almost done with the QR codes for the decks and they will be sent in the discord sometime soon

Pokemon Deckbuilding Workshop - Week 3, Tuesday the 5th of August @ 3pm

• EMP has been done, Loft has been booked, bratvertising was put out

• Currently the decks are playable, just out of standard (they fit the rotation before this one, went out of standard in April)
• Have been putting off updating them until there was more time for decks to get established and widely played

Warhammer 40k Tournaments

• Soon we will organise dates for tournaments for the rest of the year (at least) in advance
• The channel for the Warhammer people was made during the meeting and is in use now

Gen: Look at storage solutions for Warhammer terrain

Age of Sigmar Tournament - Week 4, Sunday the 17th of August

• Wargamers seem hyped for an AoS tournament
• Games Workshop contacted Matt about prizing for said tournament, potentially a $400 box
• Likely a 1K tournament
• Prizes may work as raffle or door prize, where the more awards you win, the more tickets you get to enter raffle
• Tickets will most likely cost $45 to cover paying Matt for his time and TOing the tournament
• EMP and room booking have both been done, Gen will be calling about being let into the room at the time we need
• Advertising has also been put out, player pack to be sent soon
• We are still trying to sort out ticket prices, the main concerns are both that tickets are getting a bit expensive but also we need to be breaking even on the event
  • Wargamers have said that the events we run are still cheaper than outside events, just because we have run events cheaper in the past doesn't mean we always have to
  • Other wargamers have disagreed and said 45 is too expensive and much more expensive than our previous tournaments, which is fair feedback but we also can't consistently lose a lot of money on these events
    • We would like to not lose money

• After discussion we decide that we can price tickets at $40 with the hope that we break-even, and if we don't we will reevaluate the pricing

Blood Bowl League

• Final round still not done
• Gen spoke with Cam about the future Blood Bowl League, Cam has indicated being in support of committee taking a bigger part in the organisation of the league (doing match fixtures, following up with people who have not completed their games)
• Gen is also happy to be the person who is the go-to for Blood Bowl committee stuff, but it will likely be a more shared responsibility as it's a big job
• Will discuss more next week

Mini Painting Day - Week 2, Friday the 1st of August @ 11am-2pm

• It's next week!
• Gen will try and get the advertising out for this tomorrow

Trench Crusade Game Day

• We will aim to have this event in week 5
• They discussed on the game day having people who are designated with badges as being in charge of the event
• Ideally run up in the Loft
• Running a basic style of game each time so it's easy to jump into, learn, and teach
• The official release of Trench Crusade is sometime in August so it was considered waiting for that, but also the rules as we have them are easy enough to use
• They're planning on doing some "2D printing" (also known as printing) to help people with models if they don't have any on them
• Connor demands they have a date decided on by next week and EMP done

White Dwarf

• Gen went to White Dwarf and learned they used to run RPG events, but they stopped running them as no one wanted to stay back to run them
• They are happy for us to have posters and fliers in their store to advertise us and if people ask, they can recommend us
  • The only worry would be attracting too much of a non-university audience, which could be bigger than our capacity
  • Although this is a fun idea it's not something we're interested in right now, but we are always open to more collaborations and sponsorships

• All the subcom has left to do is a photo op, yay!

Lasers and Lances Camp

• Connor looked over the budget, the overnight stay prices were entered incorrectly but have now been rectified
• Dates are being organised
  • The choices were either 19th-22nd of June or 26th-29th of June
  • 19th of June (Friday) to 22nd of June (Monday) => Week after exams finish, same timeframe we had it this year
  • 26th of June (Friday) to 29th of June (Monday) => Gives another week post exams, have had it here in the past
• But the 26th-29th is the same weekend as Supanova and unfortunately nerdmittee wants go to to that (as do, presumably, a lot of our nerd members), so we have decided on the 19th to 22nd

• Date is also being changed as the Thursday was unavailable

  • Will mean we don't have to remake the whole square account with every new treasurer
  • We will get a bank card, yay!
  • Will make Square stuff a lot easier in the long run

  • We wouldn't have to submit a tax return, but would have to submit a form stating we are Not For Profit
  • Getting an ABN could mean we get audited (this is fine, we hate lying)
• This is something Anna would like to do in the long term, and hence won't be done immediately
