MTG Precon League

• Week 2 happened!
• 21 people showed up
• Fourth day is next week on 15/09 and will be in Giumelli 206 & 207
• Ash will organise prizing today
• TTECU has prizing already, they will hold onto it for now

MtG Club Decks

• Highlander decks have been proxied and are in the clubroom, we are temporarily borrowing Ash's deckboxes and sleeves until we get the new ones from SPG
• Gibbi has been done with the lists for the new club decks, and is ready for us to buy them
• Budget of 200 dollars was approved via circular, but more money will be needed to cover USD conversion and cool tariff stuff
• Ash will also be picking up sleeves for the new deck tonight
• Motion to budget 50 additional dollars for the new Thalisse deck:
  • Passes unanimously

Other TCGs

Pokemon Tournament

• We are planning on organising a tournament on Friday the 3rd of October
• Hopefully we will have the new deckboxes and such before then

Updating the Club Pokemon Decks

• Feedback was received on the deck suggestions, like the 7P Highlander Deck we are just waiting on the sleeves and deckboxes for them to be complete
• We will also be giving back the box of randomised Pokemon materials we have to their owner
• Boxes and sleeves will be ordered tonight probably

FAB Casual Game Day - Week 7, Wednesday the 10th of September @ 12pm

• It was yesterday!
• Attendance: 4
• Very fab (get it?)
• A few games ran, and these events easy to run so we could probably run another in a month or so

Warhammer

Warhammer 40k Tournament - Study Break, Saturday the 6th of September @ 8am

• It was last weekend!
• Attendance: 10
• Ran smoothly, a feedback form was sent out and has two responses so far
  • Chill atmosphere, recommendations on how we do some things better
• We want another one, most likely a 2k in week 12, on the 18th of October
• We discuss having a tournament where we have a painting requirement
  • This is already the standard for a lot of tournaments outside of the ones we run, and it looks really cool to only have painted minis
  • We could give a few months of notice so people have time to paint them
  • But inevitably this would still alienate a couple of people in a way we don't usually do
  • It would feel rewarding to celebrate players who do paint their minis
• We can talk to Matt a little bit about it

• Anna's SPG breakdown:
  • $147.80 for Cameron Hall Quiz Night, as a security in the case we don't sell enough tickets
  • $204.00 for Clubroom storage, for a 2x4 Kallax, as well as 3 boxes for it
  • $747.30 for 8 Decks-worth of TCG Sleeves, 35 Boardgames-worth of Sleeves and 10 Deck-boxes to maintain our games
  • $57.80 for 4 Dice Trays, to minimise dice noise in the clubroom and protect our tables
• This comes to a total of $1,156.90 that we are applying for
• SPG was submitted! We will hear back about it at some point

SOC Awards

• We finally got emailed the guidelines for the SOC awards
• We would probably be well suited to Best Club Award or the Community Engagement Award
• Nene will take the lead on writing these applications, but everyone is very welcome to help
• Perhaps we will do another application who knows

• Jackie sent more updates about the playmat in relation to colours
• We have an extensive discussion with Jackie about the colours of the playmat, she's going to make more mock ups for us
• Jackie has gone over 5 hours of work on the commission, she thinks there's about 3 more hours of work to do
• If we keep the $50 hourly rate, itll go up to $400 dollars
• Motion to budget $400 for the Jackie playmat commission

Mini Stuff

• Progress is being made on all the mini painting
• Once the minis are painted, the magnets will be redone on them
• Lucy is interested in sorting through and cataloguing the minis we have so we know what we have
• We were informed someone was interested in painting minis at a mini painting day, they don't have minis of their own, and our selection of clubroom minis is very sad
• It would be fun to have some nice, primed ones for people to paint
• In 2023 a painting competition was ran where we had a bunch of 3D printed fairy cats, we could have something similar that we get for things like this

Objective Markers

• We have received feedback about our objective markers for wargaming
  • They are fraying at the edges
  • They are not centered (which does affect gameplay)
  • We also don't have enough, we need 6 more
• Jeremy emailed them, waiting to hear back
• Jeremy will print and laminate the markers as a solution (at least for now...)

• We are in the process of printing a donation from last year, Evvy donated the Field Guide to Floral Dragons to us last year which we are getting printed soon!
• We have budgeted to do this via circular
• We have also had a lot of questions this year about a Unigames digital libary for the PDFs we have acquired, Jeremy will look into whether we can do this or not
• Digital library is nigh impossible, it would be a lot a lot of work for very limited pay off
