Broader Wargaming Discussion

• Checking in that Club is doing what it can to support the club (Notes from Cam and Matt)
  • Support
    • Matt is currently running the events mostly singlehandedly
      • Committee is only running backend
    • Unigames should:
      • Run events/casual game days, set aside budget for wargaming, support on the day with events (unigames drinks delivery), advertising/prize support
        • Getting advertising out on time is a big one
    • Give certain discord admin permissions to Matt for running 40k Crusade and related events
  • Access
    • Unigames should:
      • Run events/casual game days, making sure that member base knows that we have resources for them to freely use
  • Resources
    • Unigames should be:
      • Getting modular terrain back, replacing our old old armies, game boards
  • Large Events (i.e. tournaments)
    • Large scale tournaments cannot be run without someone as knowledgeable in the game as Matt is.
    • Everything other than the EMP could be done by a trusted Wargamer
      • Making the process faster is ideal
      • Unigames should handle EMP and room bookings.
      • Facilitating events by bringing drinks
    • Ensure >=1 gatekeeper is present for room access
  • Long Term Solutions
    • Try to Keep Matt Around
    • Improve existing handovers including wargaming, and put in infrastructure for future handovers.
    • Budget for Wargaming
