  • SNoM is both a scheduled and unscheduled weekly event, usually every Sunday we have an unofficial SNoM where people come in to play Magic
  • We also organise specific SNoM dates with advertising to bring in more attendees
  • These are both SNoMs!

MTG Club Deck Updates

• Information about the MTG club deck updates will be moved under ''Magic in Unigames' Document'

New MTG Welcome Set Starter Decks

• The decks are in the Monolith!
• Old welcome sets can be given away either in chaff or just regularly for free, might warrant a message in MTG general

MTG Sponsorship Feedback

• Had feedback from Gibbi, Xane, Everest, James, and Ash on discord
  • The feedback can be found in a thread in the #feedback discord channel, the thread is named 'sponsorship sourcing of mtg'
• They feel we are prioritising Tactics over Good Games even though Good Games may be better for MTG specifically
• Tactics has messed up some of our pricing in the past
• We could use Good Games for MTG and Tactics for things like Book Buys, we don't have to use one sponsor for everything, both sponsors have their own merits
• We definitely need to improve our communication with both sponsors, especially through proper channels (emails)
• We would use Good Games for prereleases but that doesn't mean we never do anything related to MTG with Tactics again

'Magic in Unigames' Document

• Former committee member Gibbi created a document looking into how we ran Magic over the course of 2024
• Touches on things like
  • How many events we ran related to MTG
  • The state of our club decks/reasons why we have club decks
  • Suggested improvements of our club decks and the amount of MTG events we organise
• This is unfortunately something that Newmittee will have to handle because we have two days left
• We will organise this committees thoughts in a thread for Newmittee to read

Intro to Pokemon Event - Week 3, Wednesday 11/03 @ 4pm

• Nene brought up doing an EOI for Pokemon because with Freshers arriving there has been member interest, but there is enough interest that we've decided to do an intro instead!
• It will follow TCG O'Day because we can't really fit other days in, we also want it to be in our designated TCG week
• Will bring our club decks and some of committees own decks (and we encourage participants to bring their own too)

Wargaming

Introductory Painting day - Week 5, Saturday 29/03

• Cam is free on Saturdays!
• Cam is also graduating in first semester so we could ask about a consistent event in Semester 2
• EOI put out once we have some more Freshers around
  • Tentatively $5 entry
• Idea proposed of two types of events, structured and non-structured, so that we can run painting days without Cam
  • Structured would be like an instructive course style event, non-structured would just be painting
  • This is because Cam's schedule is a little rough

Warhammer Tournament - Week 3, Saturday 15/03 @ 8am

• We cannot yet post advertising because venues is not responding to us
• 1k tournament
  • Potentially organise pizza run at the end of the tournament
  • Gen cannot organise the pizza run, she is LARPing, Connor said he may be able to do it
• Nene bumped venues and they did not reply and now the room is booked
• We could maybe push the tournament back a week (Week 4, 22nd)

Cameron Hall Minecraft SMP

• Server is closed and subcom is disbanded
• If interested you can find the world file in the discord server for the SMP
• Newmittee can decide if they want another server
  • We recommend not to

Wonderful Wargaming

• Sam from Wonderful Wargaming reached out to us to organise an event/collaboration
  • Wasn't clear on what kind of event/collab
• Wonderful Wargaming is an LGBTQ+ Tabletop Gaming Club that meets South of the river twice a month, and runs Warhammer 40K tournaments quarterly
  • They don't do just wargaming despite the name! The twice monthly meet ups are boardgames and RPGs
• We will reply to them asking how they would like to collaborate
  • Eg: are they interested in joint tournaments, regular game collabs, painting days
  • We can give ideas of the kinds of events we run already, and boast our library
• Nene sent an email last week and WW have yet to respond

Uncharity Vigil - 1st - 2nd February

• Wrap-up meeting has happened!

    • These have been paid for but we won't receive them until March (likely)
  • New stationery box
  • New Eunigames playmats for the clubroom (Commission)

    • We could work with Good Games to do this, would have to email them and discuss
    • We want to commission Jackie
      • Jackie did our last playmats and they are very very good
    • This requires a larger discussion, we will wait a bit on this
    • Can open up for pre-order as well, this was done last time

    • We'll probably get rid of one that's in bad condition because we've now got two new ones

• We had 214 member sign ups on O-Day!
  • Last year we had 173 sign ups

• Cans of drink were a good idea
• We need to work on setting up, Alistair did most of it and he is not a committee member
• For next time we will want people to hold the room open so we can direct Freshers there and they can hang out, we can also organise tour times to bring Freshers into Unigames
• Thank you to everyone who helped us on O-Day! We couldn't have gotten so many sign ups without your help

AGM - 28/02 @ 1pm

• EMP has been submitted... more recently than we would like
• Venue booking still not approved
  • We will deal with this when it comes to the day, this happened last OGM also
• Nominations are up! Please submit any nominations to the Facebook post in our AGM event (on Facebook)
• Private voting
  • Some members have come to us asking about private voting for the AGM
  • History on private voting
    • Private voting is not explicitely mentioned in our constitution but it can be motioned in the meeting, and will then be voted on by the room to see if it's implemented
    • The last recorded case of private voting was in the 2019 OGM as it was for the purpose of suspending a member, private voting was requested to make voters more comfortable
    • Unigames is not required to do private voting, but it can be requested and motioned
  • Options for us to implmenet private voting

    • Scrap paper that people just write the names on, with names written on a whiteboard for reference

• Someone from PROSH approached Connor at O-Day and had Connor fill out a form

• We are signed up and waiting for details, but we will assign proper marshals with newmittee

Fresher Welcome - Week 1, Thursday 27/02 @ 4pm

• Gen called Dominoes and they are all good to make pizzas for us
  • What is this, pizza city?
• Connor will go and pick up the pizzas on the night with some help
• We want someone set up to sign new Freshers up, Nene was very enthusiastic to do this

SOCPAC Meeting - Week 1, Tuesday 25/02 @ 6pm

• Jack went to SOCPAC
  • There are new kinds of grants we should investigate
  • The Access Department has disability training they recommend execs do
  • PROSH charities are The Essentials Collective and Man Up
  • PROSH-cession is back
  • PROSHlympics is 12th of March
  • The Tav have a website now, they also have updated prices and event specials
  • Next round of SLTs will be around April and will be on a 1.5 day schedule
  • Club Carnival may move to week 6

Tenancy

• Connor is planning on talking to SOCPAC about the Guild Master Plan and the renovations
• We (and other clubs) need to know when this will happen
  • Not knowing this date means we can't make more permanent changes in the club room (like new carpet tiles)
  • We don't want to put cool, permanent things in the room if we can't keep using the room

• A new Gatekeeper form was sent out
• Jackie is working on new Gatekeeper FAQ documents
  • One is a 'landing page' style document that includes common Gatekeeper questions, but also has relevant links to past guides to consolidate information and make finding old guides easier
  • The other one was originally a 'questions members may ask you' document that is now being made accessible to general members, rather than a reference guide for Gatekeepers
  • On whether this would be identical to the Unigames FAQ on our website, that is more of a general 'about Unigames'
  • We should update that title and add the document Jackie is working on once completed as a FAQ page accessible via the website

Reorganisation of mini shelf

• Gen moved the shelves and the mini storage fits very well, Jackie has also labelled the shelves
• The Blood Bowl book fits next to the box and it looks great
• Gen has magnetised the minis and they will soon be in their shelves
• Some of the minis are still with Cam but hopefully next librarian will do this
• Gen also went through the Baking Tray Minis, please take them home!

New club paints

• Funded by Uncharity
• We decided on getting Valejo Inspiration Colour Set
• Tactics have emailed Gen back, they have said they'll have the set available in March
• They have been paid for so we're just waiting to receive them

2023 Ball photo

• We have bad news.
• Jackie needs to look for magnets again
• We are still within the budget for magnets so she will try again, but Nene did recommend a lighter frame
• We have spent a substantial amount of money on magnets lately

Conference microphone

• I bought it
  • It was 98 dollars
• It's on its way
• It should be arriving between March 3 and 5
• It is the EMEET OfficeCore M1A, it is portable, has good reviews, and is plugged in via USB

Open/Close Sign

• New sign is up
• Nene doesn't like it
• The first sign was two pieces of paper laminated together, this is just one piece of paper printed on both sides, so you can sort of see through it and see the graphic on the other side when the light shines through it
• Nene will probably redo it but it's not urgent

• We've been asked to reaffirm how the table priority in the clubroom works, so here it is, in order:
  • Have priority because notice has been given to clubroom attendees

    • Whiteboard/regular campaigns (games that have been put on the Unigames whiteboard under the aircon)
  • Impromptu games/Unigames stuff
    • Blood Bowl League games count under this header as the general Unigames member is not alerted to when a Blood Bowl League game is occurring

Piracy

• As a club we can not share or encourage pirated materials (due to our affiliation with the UWA Guild)
• This means it cannot be shared in the Discord
  • Discussion of piracy is fine, just not the sharing of pirated materials
• We will send a message to Gatekeepers saying this and to discourage sharing of pirated materials if they see it

• OCM handovers are changing a little bit to focus on being more general to committee than being about OCMs specifically
  • The information in there is valuable to all roles, not just OCMs
  • Will also be including a section on Wargaming tournaments specifically so these events can continue to be ran
• Handovers should be shown to all committee for proofing
