MTG Precon League - Weekly on Mondays @ 5pm

• First day happened! 20 people were there for it
• We might have even more people for the upcoming weeks
• Ash will contact GGs next week once all payment for the league has been confirmed to organise prizing
• We were also alerted that a player was playing with an illegal deck, they won't be getting points for that week

New MtG Club Decks

• A lot of the changes to club decks will be in line with Gibbi's suggestions, we are looking at updating our club decks as well as buying and creating new ones
  • Noyan Darr and Unesh are being removed
  • Killian may be getting replaced
  • Horde of Notions will get an upgraded
  • Jhoira will be reworked and converted into Shao Jun
  • New deck: Treebeard
    • Thalisse will also be coming at some point, but it'll be getting worked on later
• We are considering making info cards for the decks, giving details about the deck (like how to play it) and a QR code to link to the Archidekt
• Ash got the quotes for the cards and has ordered the ones we can get from Good Games from Good Games, the ones from Card Kingdom we need to consider shipping for
• We can either get shipping for 10 dollars or 20 dollars (with a difference in speed of arrival)
• We will budget ten more dollars for shipping for the cards

Pokemon Event

• We would like to organise a casual Pokemon playing event during study break, which would be in a temporarily unlimited format including letters from E, F, G, and H
  • Temporarily unlimited because it is very difficult to get cards from the new set/standard right now, proxies will also be explicitely allowed for this reason, but we always accept proxies anyways
• We would also like to organise another event where we have a proxy and deck building workshop, followed by a casual tournament, this would be during the semester holidays
• We will be figuring out dates soon and then doing EMP and advertising for it

Intro to Flesh and Blood

• There has been a lot of interest in Flesh and Blood as of recent
• Gen will be making a groupchat for FAB soon

Wargaming

Introductory Painting Day - Saturday, 26th of April @ 12pm

• Finn is interested in helping at Introductory Painting Day alongside Cam
• Paid event, looking at buying minis instead of 3d printing them
  • This would be a mini and a paintbrush people can pay to use and then take home
  • The mini would be imperial guards
  • We may run this at a small loss to keep it affordable
• Finn has ten hormagaunt figures that they can donate for the purpose of the event, therefore we can start selling tickets at 15 dollars, and if we get under 10 tickets we can splurge on some nice brushes, if we get more than 10 we will buy more figures and slightly less good brushes
  • The figures are 86 dollars for ten (8.60 each)
• Advertising, ticket guide and guide to selling tickets have all been put out
• Tickets are available for sale in the clubroom for $15
• A physical poster has been put up in the clubroom

Future Warhammer Tournaments

• Lucy thinks we could run something early in the holidays (doubles tournament), and something like a 1k at the start of next semester

Blood Bowl

• "It's round 6," - Lucy, enthusiastically

OPR/Indie Skirmish

• We have received interest in a skirmish event for OPR, which is basically a cheap Warhammer (with no model requirements and simpler rules)
• Could be ideal considering our apprehension in promoting Games Workshop too much and our hopes for cost effective wargaming
• We can look into running this later as we are presently running a bunch of events

Collaborative Events

• We missed a couple of emails from clubs last year looking to collaborate, during semester 2 we will try and reach back out to them to organise events with them

Megagame with eSports

• Alex of eSports fame came in to pitch a megagame
  • A megagame is a type of large-scale simulation which can contain elements of role-playing games, tabletop games, LARPs and wargames, typically played by 30-100 players over the course of a full day
  • We ran one last in 2019 but that wasn't a collab, this one would be a collab between Unigames and eSports, likely with a premade scenario
  • There is Watch the Skies (model UN with aliens), or another one where different teams are different ships in a fleet
  • Looking to run in semester 2 or perhaps the upcoming holidays
  • All Alex asks from us is that we put forward people to work on it alongside eSports people
• Jack Bariss is here now
  • We have all the materials for 'Watch the Skies' already, so it's ideal to run that first and potentially run different ones after
• We could send 2 reps from each club as an informal subcom
  • This will be the 2 Jacks (Jack Bariss and Jack Douglas)

  • Most of us are keen to get first aid certificates but we will have to explore options, Connor will organise it
  • Food safety certificates are REQUIRED for all committee members

Shredder

• We are meant to shred some of our documents instead of keeping them, Lorenzo of UCC fame has suggested UniSFA, UCC and Unigames go in on a shredder together
• One has been suggested that is 289 dollars
  • That's kind of a lot
• Other issue is with the accessibility of it (where we keep the shredder so it's accessible for each club's treasurer)
• UniSFA doesn't feel they'll have to use a shredder much and aren't keen, apparently there isn't a shredder that is cheaper, and it seems like UCC may be the only people who super want this, we also don't really think we need it

Eunigames Playmats

• New Eunigames playmats for the clubroom (Commission)
  • 4 playmats
  • We could work with Good Games to do this, would have to email them and discuss
  • We want to commission Jackie
    • Jackie did our last playmats and they are very very good
  • This requires a larger discussion, we will wait a bit on this

Objective Markers

• We have received feedback about our objective markers for wargaming
  • They are fraying at the edges
  • They are not centred (which does affect gameplay)
  • We also don't have enough, we need 6 more
• The shop we bought the objective markers from are currently on a break, Jeremy will keep checking on it
• If they never open again (unlikely) we can make our own objective markers somehow

  • No dice, everything is done by troop movements, it's a lot of social organisation with the other players, and all turns are simultaneous so it encourages you to do diplomacy with other characters
    • Huh, maybe that's why it's called Diplomacy....

• Facebook isn't the most accessible platform for our members but Discord polls aren't good for this purpose, so Nene will look for an alternative

Committee Business

SLTs

• Anna, Jeremy and Nene got their student leadership training done yesterday! Some things we have brought back from it:
  • We need to be more proactive about reading the agendas for upcoming meetings and we need to make sure we all understand how an agenda works
    • A meeting agenda isn't like 'I want to decide on a time for this event', the agenda item is the event, and under that agenda item is where you talk about what time it is
    • But also for menial things, we should decide on more of them outside of the meeting, we are bringing a lot more to our meetings than we need to and this is making them very long
  • We could also stand to be harsher with each other about how work is tracking, maybe not as accusatory as the guy was telling us to be, but it's okay for us to ask each other why things haven't be done, when can we expect them to be done, and do you need help doing it?
    • These questions can be broached in a supportive 'can I help with this?' manner instead of just 'why hasn't this been done?'
  • Nene is sending enquiries about getting posters for Cam Hall/the Unigames clubroom from UWA Student Wellbeing, and we should update some of our other posters that list what to do in cases of harm (these things get updated pretty often)
  • There are also more training and workshops we can do as a committee, like the responding to a disclosure workshop, which would be good for at least some of us to do
    • We can request bespoke sessions for the committee instead of us organising to do it individually
  • There's a bunch of stuff in terms of handling complaints, like us handing more things off to Guild Student Assist, ISU, etc

ICONS

• There was an ICONS meeting today:
  • Discussed what we want to do with ICONS
  • Proposed that instead of inviting 2 execs, we invite all execs and share info with OCMs and Frep
  • We can also invite an immediate past exec onto an advisory position (not necessarily IMMEDIATE past, but a past exec)
  • We also want more regulations tied up into ICONS (like regulations about calling meetings 2 weeks in advance, etc)
  • Also talked about changing the name for ICONS and working out processes for adding and removing clubs

Piracy
