• Second day happened! 19 people showed up, 2 of whom were different to previous weeks

New MtG Club Decks

• The new decks are in the clubroom and have been sleeved
  • Shao Jun replaced Jhoira and is complete
  • Treebeard is complete
  • Unesh is being auctioned
    • Noyan Darr and Killian will also be auctioned at a later point
  • Horde of Notions has been updated
  • Thalisse will be brought in later
• We are considering making info cards for the decks, giving details about the deck (like how to play it) and a QR code to link to the Archidekt

Other TCGs

Pokemon Event

• We would like to organise a casual Pokemon playing event during study break, which would be in a temporarily unlimited format including letters from E, F, G, and H
  • Temporarily unlimited because it is very difficult to get cards from the new set/standard right now, proxies will also be explicitly allowed for this reason, but we always accept proxies anyways
• We would also like to organise another event where we have a proxy and deck building workshop, followed by a casual tournament, this would be during the semester holidays
• We will be figuring out dates soon and then doing EMP and advertising for it

Intro to Flesh and Blood - Week 12, 19th-25th of May

• There has been a lot of interest in Flesh and Blood as of recent
• Gen has made a groupchat and will be sending out a whenisgood for (most likely) Week 12
• This will be a beginner friendly event, not specifically an intro event

Wargaming

Introductory Painting Day - Saturday, 26th of April @ 12pm

• It happened!
• Attendance: 2
• Connor enjoyed it with the low attendance (he was one of the two attendees)
• Feedback:
  • Doing it more ahead of time and in a better part of semester might result in more attendance
  • Using previously painted minis at these days could be good for advertising
  • Some more people might have come if we didn't have it ticketed
  • The actual structure of the event was good

Future Warhammer Tournaments

• Lucy thinks we could run something early in the holidays (doubles tournament), and something like a 1k at the start of next semester
• Potential dates for tournaments:
  • 2k tournament for June 15th
  • Doubles tournament on June 29th

Blood Bowl

• It's technically round 7, but some round 6 games still need to be played

OPR/Indie Skirmish

• We have received interest in a skirmish event for OPR, which is basically a cheap Warhammer (with no model requirements and simpler rules)
• Could be ideal considering our apprehension in promoting Games Workshop too much and our hopes for cost effective wargaming
• We can look into running this later as we are presently running a bunch of events

Collaborative Events

• We missed a couple of emails from clubs last year looking to collaborate, during semester 2 we will try and reach back out to them to organise events with them

Megagame with eSports

• Reps: Jack B and Jack D
• We may have to get a new version of Watch the Skies
  • ~100 dollars
• Also looking at another one called Den of Wolves, about members of a space fleet surviving an interplanetary attack
• They discussed running a smaller one first (about 15-20 people) to see how viable a larger game is
  • They just need player and rules guides to organise this, which can be hard to get
• eSports still needs their second rep
  • During the meeting the rep was decided to be Julian from eSports

Major Events

Lasers and Lances [Redacted] - Friday-Monday, 20th-23rd of June

• Things we have to organise:
  • Food run
    • Changes to the menu

    • Probably 65 people, this is less than Manjedal Activity Centre can hold, but it's a more manageable number for committee and the other people who run it
• We have 2 current first aid certificate holders, 3 RSA holders, and 2 driving licenses for emergency drivers
  • Most of us are keen to get first aid certificates but we will have to explore options, Connor will organise it
  • Food safety certificates are REQUIRED for all committee members

  • We will be encouraging gatekeepers to help us on camp (this means they have to do their food safety certification as well)
  • People need to be on top of cleaning in the kitchen, hopefully with people who are cleaning as we go while cooking

SOCPAC Meeting - Week 9, Tuesday 29th of April @ 6pm

  • Info on an international student council and the Duke of Edinburgh award
  • Money stuff
    • Grants have been given out, if we want to appeal them we have to do so by Friday
    • We can't receive money from international bodies/governments
    • We have to make sure our bank account is known to Guild
    • We have to declare whether we receive monetary donations to the club, this means money we receive from anywhere except Guild or events we run
      • If we don't do this we risk being audited and penalised
      • Specifically doesn't count events we run for profit (like Uncharity Vigil for example)
    • Semester grants due 13th of June
  • We will be getting a standardised complaints form for us to give to our members, which they can choose to use instead of our club specific complaints form
    • This is still being worked on and won't be out for some time
